I think Week 3 has been my favorite
I really enjoyed this week because it stretched me to try and use things that I probably would have stayed away from. Last week I was using Powtoon with my 7th graders. I had many moans and students that requested that they just use google slides because it was easier. I encouraged them to think outside of the box and try new things. The students gave those presentations today and did a great job on them. Just like my 7th graders, I like to just use the same old--same old. But week 3 caused me to see and understand that new things aren't really all that bad. There are many Youtube videos that you can check out for help in understanding.

YouTube videos have helped me in so many ways, from tiling my bathroom, to using Pex pipes, to figuring out PhotoShop. I have also added quite a few to YouTube that I made myself. For me, it's a handy place to store and access tutorials.
ReplyDeleteOne thing to keep in mind about these tools in module 3 - they may not always be around. It's a good idea to develop the conceptual skills that they may make possible, but keep in mind that something better is likely to come along, which means that you will have to change too.
